Pronunciation Guide
This guide gives the names of the characters in The Taming of the Shrew and how to pronounce them. Since Shakespeare wrote these as drama, his stories are intended to be acted out. Therefore, it is easiest to read his plays out loud to understand them. Knowing how to say the characters' names correctly will help you avoid stumbling while reading, but it will also make it a lot easier when we discuss in class. People won't be pronouncing a character's name three different ways!
